Terms KS 19

All works of art will be censored digitally in a 1. and a 2. round.  Every work of art must be photographed, and the photos must be uploaded via Gecko, a booking system on our website. Hereafter the works, which have gone through the rounds 1 and 2 will be called for to be sent to Janus for a physical censorship in a 3. round.

Who can apply

Everybody can apply regardless of address and nationality. Application until 3rd of May 2019.

Numbers of works and price.

The price for one application form is DKK 500 allowing 6 works.

For each of the following forms, that permit 6 extra works, the price is DDK 250.

Application

Application goes on via our booking system, Gecko, which you will find on our website under the label “KS19 – Online Tilmelding”. Application must be registered before 4th of May 2019.

Via Gecko you can write informations like name, address and e-mail etc., and you’ll be guided how to pay. Also – in Gecko – you have to write informations about the works of art and upload photos of your works.

Delivery of works for physical censorship in a 3rd round

The first and the second censorship wil take place on the 18th and 19th of May.  Hereafter the works, which have gone through the rounds 1 and 2, will be called for to be sent to Janus for a physical censorship in a 3. Round, which will take place on the 1st of June.

You can deliver your works in Janus on the weekdays from the 20th to the 29th of May between 9 and 16 o’clock.

Alternatively the works can be sent by post, carrier or firms of furniture removers.

Three removers transfer works to KS within Denmark:

The artist must himself make arrangement with the removers.

Works – following are not accepted

  1. Works which has been on exhibition at Charlottenborgs Forårsudstilling, Kunstnernes Efterårsudstilling, Kunstnernes Påskeudstilling, Nordkraft Udstillingen or DCK Fyn.
  2. Works framed in glass, wet works and works with screw eyes outside the frame.
  3. Rails of metal on the back of e.g. photos.
  4. Works with a weight of more than 20 kg.

Works – Insurance

The applier must take out insurance himself. KS assumes no responsibility for fire damage, damages on or loss of forwarded works.

Works – PR

The exhibition reserves the rights to publish in booklets, on posters, in advertisements etc. works which are accepted for the exhibition.

Works – Sales price

The exhibition has in view to sell the exhibit works and will obtain 35% of a sale price. Please take   that into consideration when you state sales price on the application form.

Works not for sale, please state ‘private owned’.

Censorship etc.

The curating of the exhibition is done by the censors, therefore it is not possible to wish for a specific placement of the accepted works.

If a work require specific technical equipment, the artist must supply this, if the work is accepted. Returns

Not accepted works (only these called in for the 3rd censorship) can be collected at the following times:

The 3rd till the 15th of June on weekdays at time 9-16 and in the weekend between 13-16.

At the exhibition opening day on June 15 at time 16-18.

Accepted, not sold works, can be collected on the last day of the exhibition from 16-18 hrs. as well as on the 12th and 13th of August 2019 from 11-16 hrs.

Not collected works will be returned the same way they arrived at Janus.

KS Membership

The artists, who have works accepted for the KS exhibition, are automatically members of the exhibition for 3 years. The membership includes an annual artists meeting, as well as free entrance for the exhibition for 3 years. The annual meeting normally last for approximately 1-2 hours and take place on the last day of the exhibition at 16.00 hrs.
